FAQs
Goodsmith is a convenient solution designed to help you manage home maintenance and repairs. To get started, simply click ‘Get Started’ and provide some basic information about yourself and your home.
You’ll receive an email with access to our app. After downloading and logging in, you can submit a service request immediately.
Our team will review your request, send you an estimate, and suggest an appointment time—all through the app. Once you approve, a Goodsmith technician will arrive at the scheduled time to complete the work.
After the job is done, you’ll receive an invoice, which you can easily pay within the app.

When submitting a request, just click the “Emergency” button, and you’ll have our team’s full attention. Emergency services are reserved for Premium users only.
Mechanical requests (e.g., plumbing, electric, HVAC, appliance, garage/gate) are completed within 48 hours.
Discretionary services (e.g., paint, handyman, carpentry, cleaning, etc.) are typically completed within 10 business days of submission.

Yes, particularly if the work is inside your home. Your presence helps ensure things are done correctly and to your satisfaction. However, that’s not necessarily the case if we’re cleaning your windows or fixing a gate. But ultimately, we know schedules can be difficult to coordinate, so we’re happy to let ourselves in pending a key release waiver.
80% of requests spanning dozens of repairs are completed by a full-time, professionally trained, Goodsmith® technician, who will arrive on time in a Goodsmith van and prepped for your job. The remaining 20% of requests are serviced by a collection of carefully vetted, hand-selected partners we trust.
All Goodsmith techs clear background and drug screenings. They are also graduates of our in-house training program, Goodsmith University.
Any appointment canceled less than 24 hours prior to the service start time will incur a $50.00 flat fee. Any appointment that is confirmed, we show up, and a user is not present will incur a $100.00 flat fee. Additionally, Goodsmith reserves the right to charge an additional $50 per hour of canceled service.
